“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” ~ Oscar Wilde
My name is Keith A. Vensey. Thank you for visiting my blog. I am a budding storyteller sharing my life’s journey as a way to provide what I hope to be informative vicarious experiences to others. I wish to learn from you as well, leave constructively and respectfully worded comments as you set fit.
I am a millennial reared in the Deep South – Alabama specifically. The youngest of four, I have a formidable sweet tooth, believe a quality education remains one of very few self-propelled equalizers in our capitalistic society, and think the idiom pull yourself up by the bootstraps is an incomplete story at the very least and a flagrant lie at most.
Professionally, I find joy in promoting the greater good for the health of humanity from public health and medical perspectives.
So, why am I blogging?
“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
~ Maya Angelou
Fun. Cathartic. Skill-building. Constructive. These are some reasons why I blog. Sharing my life experiences via blogging is a productive way to celebrate joyous occasions, articulate my fears, and cast what I once considered my failures as life changing teachable moments.
Blogging is my introduction to storytelling – an increasingly important skill irrespective of one’s personal and career aspirations. Storytelling is a great way to sharpen my ability to spot patterns, more readily make inferences, as well as build richer relationships and partnerships with others.
