South American Independent Study

During May 2015, a group of fellow MBA students and I went to Chile and Argentina to embark on a two-week independent study arranged by the University of Georgia’s (UGA) Terry College of Business. We we all members of the two cohorts comprising the Professional MBA Atlanta-based program we attended at UGA’s satellite office in Atlanta. The goal of the trip was for us to get an introductory understanding of how the Chilean and Argentine business sector, at a very high-level, are comparable to that of the United States.

Aside from learning the differences and similarities of the three countries’ governments and how they engage their respective business sectors, the trip entailed being immersed in South American culture, the Spanish language, and the European inspired architecture.
